Getting reading for my morning flight to TX and passively watching CBS's special on 9/11.
1. Thanks to it I'm getting back my old feelings of anxiety which entails a pit in my stomach, sweaty palms, wrinkled forehead, a buzzing in my ears, etc.
2. Tomorrow marks the 6 month anniversary.
One thing that I frequently think about is the phenomenon of people jumping from the towers. Whenever I see the image of the man and woman holding hands as they leap, I try to put myself in the woman's frame of mind. Though I can't quite make my thoughts tangible, I know that I would do similarly in her shoes. An act like this doesn't seem out of the question in a moment so unlike any other.
The doc mentions the people jumping from the upper floors, but the cameraman consciously keeps these images out of his frame. The sound of bodies hitting the ground is loud and distinct.
Sorry to be so morbid.
